Your Race Entry Comes With More Than a Bib
When you sign up for the Winter Run Through the Preserve, you’re signing up for more than a race. We want the entire morning to feel like an event worth remembering.
You can expect a clearly marked course, friendly volunteers, and plenty of support along the way. Whether you’re chasing a PR, tackling your first 5K, or simply enjoying a winter morning on the trails, our goal is to make sure you feel supported from the starting line all the way to the finish.
And, of course, there’s the swag!
Every participant will receive a race shirt when registered before the shirt-order deadline. We’re putting thought into creating something you’ll actually want to wear long after race day. If you register after the race shirt cutoff date (November 20th) we will still do our best to get you a shirt, but it is not guaranteed.
We’re also working on a unique Winter Run Through the Preserve finisher medal designed specifically for this event. It’s something you’ll be able to take home and display as a reminder of the miles, the cold morning, and the accomplishment of finishing the race.
After you cross the finish line, stick around and enjoy the race-day atmosphere. We want the finish area to be a place where runners, friends, and family can relax, celebrate, and enjoy the morning together.
We’ll have refreshments available after the race, along with opportunities to hang out, grab some food, and enjoy the finish-line festivities.
Most importantly, we want you to leave the Winter Run Through the Preserve with more than a medal. We want you to leave with a great morning, a good story, and something you’ll be proud to wear or display.
Race apparel and merchandise can be unpredictable—especially when it comes to shipping, sizing, and availability. While we’ll do our best to deliver exactly what we’ve planned, colors, styles, or specific items may occasionally need to change.
If that happens, we’ll make the best decision we can to provide a quality item that represents the Winter Run Through the Preserve.
We’ll take care of the details. You just show up, run hard, and enjoy the Preserve.
The 5K will be timed using RaceSplitter, providing accurate finish times and overall results.
Results will be available online shortly after the race concludes.
Awards
Awards will be presented to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as top finishers in select age groups.
Every participant will receive a custom finisher medal as they cross the finish line.
Want to help make the Winter Run Through the Preserve a great experience for everyone? We’d love to have you on the team!
Community races don’t happen without people willing to give their time, energy, and encouragement. Our volunteers are a huge part of creating a race that feels welcoming, organized, and fun from the moment runners arrive until the last participant crosses the finish line.
Whether you’re a seasoned race volunteer or this is your first time helping at an event, there’s a place for you.
We’ll need enthusiastic volunteers in a variety of roles, including:
Race Day Registration
Course Marshals
Water Station Support
Finish Line Support
Race Setup & Tear Down
No previous race experience is required. We’ll provide the information and guidance you need to know what to do, where to be, and how to help.
As a Winter Run Through the Preserve volunteer, you can expect:
Event volunteer shirt, if available
Volunteer orientation and race-day instructions
Community service hours, upon request
The opportunity to be part of a new community tradition
And, of course, plenty of appreciation from our runners and the Evergreen Multisport team!
Most importantly, you’ll get to be part of the action without having to lace up your running shoes. You’ll help keep runners safe, encourage participants when they need it most, and help create the kind of race experience people will want to come back to year after year.
